The amount of random thoughts that enter my head make me wonder if it's an early sign of schizophrenia.

But other than that!

This morning after settling into psychology class and fake pretending to take notes because the professor was lecturing in my direction, in the midst of my zoning out (adderall can never help with that) this strange feeling came back. It's a feeling I've always had in my gut: that there is more I can do to help others (animals included). Sometimes I get upset with relationships because I know the other person can do all these things and more, but they don't. That's the other thing, I'm patient because I want to see change and I want to help.

And then it hit me. Do I want to continue in film? I've always like the aspect of spreading a message through that medium but the politics behind filmmaking is insane. So for the past year now I've been thinking about teaching at a high school, or a middle school and enabling kids to want better for themselves (aka succeed in life?). But... I was also thinking of working at an AIDs clinic... not a doctor or anything like that but just someone to help people through a hard time by lending them my ears.

It's weird these moods that I get into at times because it just makes me sad that there isn't more that we aren't doing for one another. It makes me sad that I'm not doing more.

Last time this weird mood got me all out of wack I sent the army my information.

Maybe I should become one of those life organizers or life coach.

Maybe I should just take a K-Pin, fall asleep to the sounds of Andrew Bird, and worry about these "what am I going to do with myself?" questions another day.

P.s. I have way too many conversations with myself. Maybe it is schizophrenia and no one is telling me anything!!

Life seems to be moving at such great speeds, and to be honest it scares the shit out of me. It gives me anxiety and pressure to already be something. And that something (whatever it is because it's undefined in my mind for sure) freaks me out already. What is it that makes me feel that I NEED to have a career right now, and a family happening on the way? Is it my Catholic guilt, or my Latino upbringing guilt??

And, what's going to happen to me after I graduate... AM I GRADUATING??

Everything makes me worry and it's a horrible stress. Sleepless nights equal zombified Aileen. The latest reason of me going on K-Pins and Zoloft. It mellows me out and gives me that stoner persona.

C o o l. Four prescriptions. I feel like an old hag. It'll end after this semester hopefully.

Or maybe I'm starting to freak out because after graduation I would love to get off the adderall, but I don't know if I can be the same focused me without it. It's been years I've had it... I don't know.

No one ever tells you how fast the years go once you reach your 21st birthday and I really wished they had. Oh, the pains of growing old at heart. Le sigh.

Well, on a brighter note this semester is my attempt at finally getting the fuck out of college. This summer will be attempt at making it my last as a waitress.

Maybe take a few months off and travel for a bit, or just be as lazy as possible before joining the ranks of those who have careers and familys. Before I start the next chapter of my life.

It makes me wonder if I will continue to blog, or maybe there will be a new technological craze that awaits us.

Maybe it's time I just grew up.

P.s. What's up with all this warm spring weather in the middle of winter. It worries me and seems abnormal. What are we doing to our poor Earth.

I saw this film last week even if my boyfriend did describe it as a chick flick, which by the way it is not, and was blown away by Michelle Williams interpretation of Monroe. I know, I know, no one can ever be Marilyn Monroe but Marilyn Monroe, but if you remember Williams from the Creek and decide to check out this film you too will go "wow."Again only my opinion. The film doesn't entirely focus on Monroe and instead follows Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne is so easy on the eyes) and his two weeks filming and befriending her in England. Although his two weeks were quite interesting through his eyes I really do wish they focused more on Monroe and tried to demystify so I can view Monroe as a person full of dimensions and not just this Hollywood starlet that rocked the nation.

Or maybe it's because I'm still up trying to find the foto of me and the bf or at least something cute enough off the search engines and I got nada. An hour of looking and searching and nada.

I just happened to be looking through old fotos and said to myself, gosh I really love him and miss him. He's like my only friend it feels (although it's not true, there are many friends in our lives) like. We don't do everything together because that would be creepy, but I've grown accustomed to hearing his voice and it's been absent. His stupid voice fills a huge gap in my daily musings, and without hearing it I end up going on dominoes' pizza binges. It's weird because there is no way to explain how much I miss him without sounding like I miss his comforts - don't know. He'll be back on New Years' Eve but I worry he'll be so tired he'll ditch everything for a bed.

Sleeping Pills

My psych prescribed me some sleeping to get the bad dreams to go away as well as the dark circles under my eyes. Before S.P. (sleeping pills) I would wake up and stay awake, or my body was sleeping and I was awake and felt like something was tugging at me - very scary experience. Even if I fell asleep at 8pm and woke up at 1pm the next day it felt like 2 hours of sleep. Not fun.

But, last night was bliss. I couldn't keep my eyes open and drooled all over my face and pillows. I reaked of morning breath but it was delightful. I only woke up to pee and when my alarm woke me up at 7:10am.

It's only for the time being since it does make leaving my bed a lot harder. And because I can't keep washing my pillow shams every day.

P.s. 2011 is coming to a close and it's been a wonderful year!! What made it so wonderful? I reconnected with my lover (HE'S AMAZING!!), we got our own place in the city, expanded the family with a black kitten called Bear, have 5.5 credits left to graduate, reconnected with my lover, did Coachella, had an awesome summer working at an outdoor restaurant, and... GOT BACK WITH MY LOVER.

Ok. I stop now because my creativity went out the window and I can not write anymore. More like I have to shower and get productive.

New Year's Eve is quickly approaching and I gotta say it feels like this year flew by.

What did I even do this year?

Next year I will be less lousy at pulling out my camera, and more purrfect at becoming like the paparazzi.

Christmas was okay, nothing special. I'm also bias towards this holiday because it feels different celebrating the holiday when I was younger compared to now. My family is separated and I'm not praying for the newest coolest barbie to play with. Didn't even know what to ask for this year because asking makes it feel less special when something is given to you - kind of loses it's element of surprise.

My ma was an expert at surprising me for christmas. She always got me these really cute Japanese or Korean stationary tools and papers that would leave me hyperventilating. Then I either got older or she got lazier because all I started getting was cash. Now I get nothing.

No one ever warns you that you later end up getting nothing. Lame.

Now it's time to plan how to drink on the job, during NYE's :D!!

(Rejected Post) Dirty Linen: My Bat-Shit Schemes, American Apparel Failure, & Fairytale Ending

It took less than 48 hours out of the year to become one of the many faces of American Apparel, a retarded strategy used to get the ex-boyfriend back. Actually, no, getting a tattoo devoted to him and thinking we would frolic into each other’s arms surrounded by stars, hearts and marigolds after he sees it. Now THAT was retarded.

With the state of mind I was in (desperate with ideas based on stupidity) modeling seemed like the perfect way to get the ex-boyfriend’s attention first and amour later. Photos were sent to agencies and companies, American Apparel being one of them. Nothing happened… except Dov called me. The conversation was a little on the boring side involving curiosities about my nationality and favorite American Apparel pieces. He said to call him whenever but didn’t leave a number.

Like all hipster fucks I end up working for American Apparel and meet Dov in person. He was peculiar and this 70s porn star vibe oozed from his flesh. He was a shower and not a grower. I knew because it was a bulge that could not, would not hide. His pants just couldn’t contain him and I thought how it would hurt my insides. He frantically paced around the store pointing at merchandise while his entourage of beautiful make-up free gals clad in shiny leggings took notes. He was unhappy, something about sales, and left as quickly as he entered.

Fast forward: I quit the retail scene and out of pure boredom I again send American Apparel photos. Dov called, I had a shoot to look forward to but took it as a false promise.

Two weeks later he picks me up and we DID NOT HAVE SEX. Instead I sat on a stool wearing leggings and a bandeau top which exposed the “devotion” tattoo. Strike one: I learned tattoos are not sexy. The sexually tensed air would dissipate when asked to think and feel sexy. Even a stack of vintage Playboy could not inspire me. Strike two: I lacked sensuality. He set the camera aside, lowered the music, and pulled out some paperwork. I signed a statement acknowledging payment for tax purposes. I was positive my vacant eyes played a part in this one hit wonder. Strike three: My eyes were not inviting. We left and got food at a deli. He offered to pay for my Panini. Pity food. Without him even making a grab for my ass our contact diminished, maybe because I was titillating in the cute “little sister” way. Le sigh.

The photographs were on the site weeks later. It was a good fifteen minutes of fame until I noticed the missing “devotion” tattoo. My strategy was airbrushed off. But alas, baby Jesus pulled through and the ex-boyfriend drunk dialed (three whole years later) his way back to boyfriend status and we happily continue to bone.

Why do I perform things in by the order they appear on in my list?
It's definitely hindering my ability to start on my exam paper. But I am somehow getting it done and a lot of other work done at the same time.
Might as well get things done since I am completely wired and will probably stay up until 6am thanks to study meds and redbull. As long as I don't drink too much redbull I shall be fine.
I find the hardest part on getting started with papers is actually putting words onto the blank microsoft word sheet. The next is actually getting it done on time since I tend to obsess over the most miniscule thing and even turn my paper into a list-making event. Le sigh.
So far the outline and questions are written down… let's see what happens next.

I Lost a Follower

Can you believe that I'm still not fully unpacked. Things are still in different states and I don't know how I will ever get them to my new home. The internet is still not connected and we are going to not get cable, which will either make me very productive or very sad that I'm missing out on the Real Housewives' drama… gosh I really like it when Teresa fights with people.

I do love to write in my blog but that has been extremely difficult without the internet. Feels like this all a complaint… but, it's not.

Besides the "moving" dilemma, everything has been peachy. I mean our fridge isn't stocked, but that's because we don't have anything to cook with. We do have a lot of cups and wine glasses.

The bf and I get along. Sometimes in the early morning (11am, not really early, but some consider it early) I stare at the bf's arms and his face. There's something really, really attractive about his arms… I can't put my finger on it because he's not like a Jersey bro, although he is from Jersey he's not one of those bros. I don't know… I just want to jump his bones when I stare at his arms.

We don't shower together anymore… le sigh. It was one of my favorite past times with him. I guess the bathroom is small or maybe he wants his alone time in there since he sees me all the time.

My one worry though, is what happens if we stop boning? All of September he held out on me for unjust reasons and it felt like punishment, and then almost all of October up until last week we were boning like crazy… but is there such a thing as too much boning and will it make him get bored with the way I bone him? FYI: I stopped the boning last week because of this worry.

My second worry is I need to get on birth control ASAP!! I can easily see how couples that live together end up having babies, unplanned babies. You sleep next to the person every night and without the worry of parents hearing the bed creak and on the whim of a hormonal surge in the body boning will happen indefinitely. AND everyone knows that boning is just a nicer way of saying fornication and fornication creates babies!! I can not have babies just yet… maybe at twenty-eight, but certainly not now.

Now if only my OCD list-making will stop getting in the way of calling my doctor for a refill.

P.s. Why does birth control, during the first few months, turn me into a crazed lady with enough emotions to fuel "Days of Our Lives"?

Although it's been a while let me update you: I've moved into the city with the bf. We got our bed and our love that has been making it cozy.

And yet, my craziness seems to get bigger. It's not that I'm ungrateful it's just that I like being around my things and being able to make lists and cross things off my list. It makes me feel in control of my future, or maybe it's my OCD rearing its ugly head. Ughhh. So to reduce my levels of anxiety from not being near my lists and schedulers and stationary crap like post it's I went to Staples and replaced some of the things and started my anti-anxiety meds. I sound crazy don't I? Maybe I'm just like those people on "Hoarders".

Hopefully I'll become less preoccupied with lists and scheduling. But until then...

I've read the book by Kazuo Ishiguro (which brought me to tears which each page read) but I have yet to see the film. Friends who read and seen Never Let Me Go say the love story is emphasized more in the film while their horrible fate and life is emphasized in the book.

Summer classes are coming to a halt next week and this summer has a shortage of awesome adventures. Everything I really wanted to do didn't happen. And when some sort of excitement happened the next day or night or both were spent puking my insides away.

All I really wanted some sun time spent at the beach. Shed a tear for me why dontcha.

Approaching fall weather is quickly ending my much beloved summer season (the best season EVAR) so there's nothing to do but maintain all sources of productivity and creativity. I've been lacking in the style department so DEF gotta work on not being so homeless looking. I live in (well you can't take New York City out of me) New York City for Chris Issak's sake!! Girls should be fucking stylish at all times in the city especially when fall fashion week(s) happens the next month. No more slacking. I mean I have all the equipment to pull through and the legs to work it with... le sigh. We will see.

Ohh, and even bigger news. I'm coming back. Well I'm coming back to the city that I adore. Maybe Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan... Who really knows. I'm super excited for the move back but also very nervous because of the big change. The change being not moving in with roommates but with the boyfriend. How lovely but scary. Not the first time I moved in with a boyfriend but definitely the first time I move in with the love of my life. Who knows what we may go through or expect but I hope he keeps me warm at night since I have a tendency to freeze, then sweat, but freeze when drifting in and out of sleep.

My love has departed for this island, as I stay states-side in mine. He should stock up on all the olive oil beauty products he finds, but most importantly he should be creating memories he's gonna have forever. I already miss him, but he's been talking about Greece forEVER, so ENJOY IT.

I pulled out my polaroid camera. Every summer we have these fotos to reminiscence on how much of a loser we were on whatever night. This summer, well for me, has been lacking of said fotos. I got a month left to capture that on film. I also have a month to finish the Harry Potter books. I stopped at the third book back in the eighth grade so I'm picking up the series before the last film leaves theaters. Am I a dork... well, yea.

Sign I encountered on my walk to class. Well, walk to train station that will bring me to the city, which is where my class is.

I started writing in my moleskin again. The first entry dates back to January 2, 2009. This moleskin needs to be finished and be done with by the end of summer. I've been neglectful to my sweet journal over the years. Probably because it contains some harsh memories, the usual girl drama stuff, and yep. AND TONS OF DRUNK ENTRIES. Totally forgot that my drunk/sad/crying binge was still in full force during '09. So was my humor. Good times :)

Last night, for instance, I went to the movies and kept thinking of how wrong he was about this certain film and how I wished he was there to see it.

Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner in Black Honey

I lost my brush-on liner with this amazing cream liner. The color is a perfect hue of dark brown that it doesn't wash me out and can be taken from day to night. The liner is pretty good about staying smudge-free and melt-free during these hot NYC summer.

Caudalie Cleansing Water

When possible I try to cleanse, tone, and then moisturize my face. The tricky part is finding a toner without alcohol (which drys skin out - no good) that actually feels/does work. It's loaded with antioxidant which I assume is good for my skin. It's awesome for taking off eye makeup and is just a good essential to have regardless.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes!

This is considered a "natural" product by Sephora. Personally, I just bought it to see if something "natural" would even work on my Asian lashes. AND, it does. I have been repeatedly using this all year long, and scraping against the sides to just to use every last bit. I don't know if I wanna not use this ever again.

Nars Orgasm Lip Gloss

The Orgasm color by Nars is practically loved by everyone. It's the bottom lipgloss of the two. Maybe I'm swayed by public opinion, but it does look pretty damn good on me and my summer caramelized skin. It's hard to not reapply.

So it's been quite a while since I done a make-up post and I promise to do my best to keep these up, and to keep purchasing make-up. I don't know if I can wear it in the summer heat, but some necessities like mascara and lip gloss can be do-able. Well maybe not the lipgloss since the boyfriend complains about it... actually he complains that I wear makeup and I don't even wear that much. He prefers the bare-faced me, but then again he likes to hate on things.

15. NYC Pride Parade

On Sunday afternoon I had to divide the Pride parade festivities around work. I managed to see the parade participants setting up with the crowds starting to gather, well crowds and fabulous drag queens. Then after a slow day of work, the UES seriously felt like a ghost town, I was finally released and headed south towards the traffic. The energized vibe was so thick you could cut through it, regardless it was contagious. It seemed the other years paled in comparisons in celebrating Pride when doing foot tours of the West Village. Well, duh. Just Thursday night New York became one of the biggest states to legalize same-sex marriage. Lots of couples proposing to each other, and mass weddings to follow. It was a fun day and thank goodness for the money situation otherwise I'd be tapping away and massaging my temples from a self-induced margarita hangover. I gave up on taking fotos of the outrageous costumes and get-up people partied in, well because I didn't want to make my "breeder" origins more obvious and needed to be fully focused when dancing to Lady Gaga.

The Next Time Around

What's it like living with a person with disability. It can be chaotic, frustrating, enjoyable, saddening, weird, and at times normal. My brother and I are separated by a year, came from the same set of tools yet it feels like he's miles away. Mentioning that I like him better asleep is how we live.

Our relationship has never been the best - he hates me and at times that feeling is reciprocal. Then, there's this guilt: I shouldn't hate him because it's not him, it's his disability. Yesterday, I claimed him to be dead and the destroyer of my happiness and sanity. Unfair, yesterday everything seemed so unfair to me and to my family; he has burdened our lives. My schoolwork, jobs, and social life have suffered greatly at one point or another at the injustices he's done. But, today I woke up and came back to my Ma's and saw him asleep in his mess - it's not all him in his fits and break downs of rage. It does however take mountains of effort to remember that.

In the past, I have tried to offer him some assistance so he can live the "normal" life he craves. He doesn't budge and is set in his ways of making life decisions. He also doesn't trust me or anyone. Paranoia - part of disability - is causing a wedge in bettering himself. This continuous cycle of his good and bad days are making this family break down more than ever. How can you help someone when they can't differentiate reality from fantasy.

So how do the parents decide to settle this new situation? Give him the honor of seeing me out of Ma's home and onto a couch, excuse me, new futon at my dad's... Ooo for fancy me. They think by keeping us separated he'll be able to keep his calm. But he wont. It's not like I want to live with him either - he's impossible at times.

I admit it, yesterday he has defeated every inch of my living breathing soul. I cried at my misfortunes and how it's always me taking one for the family. Through my tears I packed. It felt like abandonment being placed in the second priority part of their lives. Not seeing my brother have another fit makes my parents think he's better. He's not better. I say, let him have a fucking fit. Let's finally do something about this situation instead of avoiding it. Let us work through this as family.

I get it. Until I resume my apartment hunt and figure out a way to pull in more income, I will never have a place that will be my own. Can't even call the couch my own. But, I'll deal with it. I'll cry and then get over it and figure out my plan of action.

I just wished they understood, or at least my Ma understood, that he needs to get help because if my Ma does get worse who, in the end, will take care of him. She cried and cried when I brought that up and my heart breaks, but I want good for him and don't want her worrying and stressing when she should be focusing on getting better herself.

So, that's been my life for the past 28 hours.

I can’t figure out how to draw in perspective. I just spent an hour doing my makeup to look “natural.” Shaving my pits is the best part of shower time. Eff this. I’m going to go drink beer and watch It’s Always Sunny on Hulu. I wonder if Domino’s is still open?

Every time he leaves, I swear to you, something goes horribly wrong in my life. Besides the obvious, like me missing him and thinking about what's he's doing, legit stuff really does go wrong.

Today I checked my savings and BAM. Like 75% of my savings have been used up, with the majority of it going towards commuting to the city and transportation. The rest gets spent on food but that's a necessity. I can't keep these expenses going unless going broke becomes ok with me. It'll never be ok with me which is why I developed a game plan to get shit straightened out.

Well, that game plan failed within sixteen minutes of being developed. My parents can't afford to help me and it shouldn't be on their shoulders either, I'm twenty-four with a job. So it's time to go back to Ma's, make myself super comfortable on her couch and just save, save, save.

AND THEN I will for sure find my bottom off the couch and somewhere rightfully mine. Somewhere I can finally settle and call my home. No more of this shifting from home to home stuff. Just one location with all my things and the boyfriend waiting in the bedroom.

FUCK, this really sucks. This is my third time moving back home.

Finally got my toes in the sand. They've been craving it since the first blast of winter wind.

This was the moment I realized that ballet has the potential to ruin my toes. Look how SWOLLEN my poor toes were after an hour and change of dancing.

This is the first time I stripped down to a bikini in a location near Times Square.

What an escape from the black tar heat. We sat in the middle of the green, underneath the bright rays, and it was still a million times cooler than being on the sidewalk only a small distance away.

All you really need is a book/friend, jamba juice, and sunscreen.

There's a booze bar, sort of pricey, at the edge of the grass.

They literally go in the order of A+, A, A-, B+, B. It's as if my professors decided to gang up on me and tell me a very dirty joke that wasn't that dirty at all. Instead it was funny and I laughed with them. A semester closer to graduating and having a real lady job. UGH!! What field to chose? The dad and me are even now. I heard him once, and now he's heard me, so we're even. Or I'll be quieter from now on. Yea... I'll be more quiet. My drive is too high to kill off completely.

First day of ballet. Felt like a doofus for a bit and then got back into the swing of things. Once upon a time my hobbies kept me entertained and were the best outlets of expression, now they're rarely thought of. Ballet was one of them, until I changed my focus on Tuesday nights to beer dates with the boyfriend.

Class was fun except for my black eye. Gave it to myself.

I really did give it to myself.

After class had margaritas on patios and celebrated a friend's forever twenty-first and we just spat bullshit and tenderness. It was pretty good. It's been a while since I had the afternoon drunk-itis. Love the summer, even if it's not technically summer.

I'll probably end up having margarita fun with the other dancers in my class. We had that "can you stretch me" connection going on.

I do miss my hobbies, art supplies, spanish books, and camera collection. Why must you be packed away? Barnes and Nobles is becoming too pricey for me. Reading is fun, but I must save for Coachella 2012. Ehhh... at least I'm writing more frequently again. I seem to forget about le blog during stressful educational periods of my life.
